Welcome to Our Wedding Website:
If we had to tell you one thing about us...
It would be that we're grateful God brought us together. We are so excited and feel truly blessed to be getting married and to start our journey in life together. We look forward to creating a lifetime of memories together, especially with you — our family and friends!
April 6th is not only our Wedding day, but it is also National Tartan Day in Canada. It is day that marks the anniversary of the signing of Scotland's independence, the Declaration of Arbroath in 1320. FREEEEEDOM!! It is a day to celebrate the role of the independent Scots who helped to discover, conquer, settle and build our country.
The MacLeod Clan is a Highland Scottish clan associated with the Isle of Skye. The MacLeods of Harris and Dunvegan are one of two main branches of the clan.
For those of you who do not know, Mark took Christine to Scotland with an idea in mind to propose in front of the Family Dunvegan castle. Unfortunately, the castle closed for the season just one week prior to their arrival. Thankfully for Mark's romantic side and his strong background knowledge on the movie, "The Notebook", he decided to take Christine at sunrise to hike up the mountainous trek called, the Quiraing. Christine mildly complained as she is not a morning person and being that it was a good forty-minute climb at seven in the morning. Mark finally chose "the perfect spot" and the two gazed across the beautiful terrain overlooking the ocean. They were all alone on top of the mountain, until two birds flew above them... Now this is where the notebook comes in :) Our inside joke on "If you're a bird, I'm a bird" immediately gave Mark the sign and go ahead to get down on one knee and ask Christine to marry him!
