Nadine is the founding president of Hacienda Sarria. Best known for leading a phenomenal team of talented people, she prides herself on seeing the big picture and is always looking to the future for new trends and exciting opportunities.
As a serial entrepreneur, Nadine has seen great success over the years, most of which has been service and food-related. She owned the Picket Fence Cafe in Ayr, Ontario, as well as a nutrition consulting business, which had her working alongside well-known brands like President's Choice and the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada. She's also written two cookbooks - calling her busy would be an understatement!
Hacienda Sarria is a very special space to Nadine and she has worked tirelessy to fill it with the kind of warmth and love that makes it feel like home to all who walk through it's doors. When not at the office, she is often found in her family home sharing beautiful (and delicious) meals with her children, and enjoys traveling with them whenever possible.
Leah is the Director of Operations at Hacienda Sarria. She is responsible for creating the strategic road map for the company’s growth and business development activities. She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience within the hospitality and special events landscape. However, if asked, she'll tell you that the single best part of her role is listening to what visitors want and our team taking their dream events from a simple idea to a reality.
With diplomas in both Business and Advanced Marketing, discovering new marketing philosophies and trends is her favourite part of the ever-changing industry. With creativity, coordination, and innovation, Leah has been able to create a diverse collection of successful marketing strategies for all types of events. She loves the challenge of increasing Hacienda Sarria’s benchmark of success and working with such an extremely talented team.
She's looking forward to being a part of all the amazing upcoming special events and weddings hosted at Hacienda Sarria! When not in the office, she's off jet-setting or at home with friends and family showing off her skills in the kitchen - with a glass of wine in hand!
Judy leads Sales at Hacienda Sarria. Well-known for her outgoing personality and ability to form strong and lasting relationships, she's especially talented in one-on-one scenarios - a skill she believes is essential in ensuring clients feel completely cared for and confident that all of their needs are met. You can guarantee that if Judy is looking after you, any uncertainty you may be feeling about your meeting or event will be put to rest.
Passionate about her community, she can be found sitting on a number of committees. Judy is an active member of the International Women's Forum and cares deeply about helping through her many charitable endeavours. A sample of these activities include fundraising for St. Mary's Foundation and raising awareness and funds for the Wilfrid Laurier University Haiti 2016 Summer Institute.
Each day, Judy is delighted to have the honour and opportunity to work with a group of intelligent, talented individuals who are all focused on the same end goal - successful events for all! Her favourite place at Hacienda Sarria is the Courtyard because the architecture offers a sense of serenity that she feels enhances each guests' experience. When she's not at the office, she is finding her own serenity by attending fitness classes, or at her cottage surrounded by friends and family.
Lindsay is a member of the Sales and Marketing team here at Hacienda Sarria. With her easy-going and upbeat personality, she is able to connect with just about anyone! Lindsay utilizes her attentiveness and experience in events to take our clients' visions and bring them to life. She loves having the opportunity to meet new guests and develop lasting relationships each and every day.
Lindsay is an accomplished scholar and has earned degrees in Psychology from Wilfrid Laurier and Argosy Universities, as well as an Associate Degree from the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising in California. When she’s not in the office, Lindsay can be found on a patio, or wherever there’s a good winery, spending time with her Husband. They are always up for a new adventure and love cooking, playing sports, and spending time with family and friends.
Her love for the outdoors is what makes our patio Lindsay's favourite space. The versatility of the patio is what she enjoys most; in one moment, it is a peaceful and quiet place to relax on your own, and in the next, it's a lively, social meeting place for mixing and mingling with your favourite people.
Kelsey is a member of the Sales team at Hacienda Sarria. Often the first person you meet when you come through the door, she is sure to make you feel welcome with her warm smile and enthusiasm. Kelsey loves meeting new people and introducing them to the magic of Hacienda Sarria.
With an Honours Degree in Communication Studies from Wilfrid Laurier University, Kelsey enjoys learning from our team and our clients about what it takes to make each experience memorable. With no two events alike, she will tell you that watching how events transform from plans to reality is the most exciting part of her job.
When she’s not in the office, you’ll find Kelsey with her friends on the softball field or laughing over a board game. She is also a regular at the library and loves curling up on the couch with her family, cats included, and a good book.
Alanna is the Operations Coordinator at Hacienda Sarria. Going above and beyond expectations set by clients is her specialty. When asked how she does this time and again she will tell you it is her ability to stay energetic, observant and above all else, adaptable. In her experience it is rare that an event will run perfectly from beginning to end, so she prides herself on being able to think on her feet and accommodate last minute changes. It can be stressful, but at the end of the day a happy client makes it all worthwhile.
After getting her BA (Hons) in Law from Carleton University Alanna realized that her heart was pulling her in a different direction. A graduate certificate in Event Management from Conestoga College would follow and the rest, as they say, is history. Although she finds her work with Hacienda Sarria incredibly fulfilling, it is the work she does in her community that drives her.
Working as part of such a strong team at Hacienda Sarria has been a wonderful experience, but the real magic of the space for Alanna can be found in the Lounge. The fireplace, the unique architecture of the stairways and the colourful floor are just a few of the reasons she loves this room so much. Outside the office Alanna can be found spending time with her husband outdoors and renovating their new home, and she adores entertaining friends and family.
Abby is the Event Manager at Hacienda Sarria. Her vivacious personality and keen sense for guest-service are what make her an exemplary leader both in the office and during an event. Her passion for hospitality stems from her extensive background in Food & Beverage and Restaurant Management. It was there she learned the importance of unwavering service standards, ensuring the ultimate payoff- a happy guest.
After completing her education in Communications and Public Relations, Abby set her sights on doing big things, with big budgets. She up-rooted her world and began splitting her time between Toronto and Nashville, TN, where she coordinated, managed and executed large, extravagant events for the Television and Entertainment industry.
Now located closer to home, Abby has planted roots here at Hacienda Sarria. As she puts it, it was the “romance of the building” that initially attracted her to a career here. And it's that exact romance that gives her such appreciation in her work as she interacts with guests on a day-to-day basis.
When she’s not here Managing a Wedding or Corporate Event, you’ll find her in her kitchen, glass of wine in hand, as she delights in preparing something delicious and nourishing for the people she loves.
Andres is the Assistant Event Manager at Hacienda Sarria. Always driven by his innate compulsion to help and to learn, he would tell you that he hardly considers any day spent at Hacienda Sarria as work. He loves his role in the “Business of Celebration” and is proud to be part of such a talented team that brings people together in a thoughtful, lavish fashion!
Andres loves seeing clients’ dreams and visions come to fruition – it’s really exciting! This is why his favourite place at Hacienda Sarria is behind the bar on a bustling night. His smile is widest when attending to guests and fostering a fun and lively environment. He loves that each day brings a unique opportunity to meet new people and experience the abundance of love and excitement at every event.
When he’s not in the office, Andres is off exploring foreign lands. With his Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Classical Studies and a specialization in Language, he takes advantage of every occasion to interact with people from different walks of life. He feels that there is something to be learned from everyone and he loves to immerse himself in the history of a place and piece together new languages. Whether jet-setting, or in the office, Andres gets satisfaction from working towards and establishing special and meaningful connections with people.
Claudia is the Planning Manager at Hacienda Sarria. Naturally someone that puts people at ease, she can be found working closely with clients to bring their ideas to life. She also relies in part on her creative background to help her find unique ways of personalizing and expressing her client's visions and event needs.
She began her career at the Hacienda Sarria as a co-op student while finishing a certificate in Event Management from Conestoga College. For more than ten years she has been honing her skills within the events and wedding industry. When not amidst planning, Claudia finds time to lend her talents as a Graphic Designer to local charities like Fashion for Life and KW Habilitation's annual Scotch Tasting.
Claudia loves working at the Hacienda Sarria because of the opportunities to learn and grow, and the ability to work with new clients on a constant basis. Her favourite room is the Coffee Bar, because it is often where guests gather to unwind during events, which generally means a lot of laughter, great conversation and many memories being made. When not on the job, Claudia can be found relaxing with friends and family over a hot cup of tea or a good glass of wine.
Ariana is an Event Planner at Hacienda Sarria. She takes pride in the fact that each wedding and special event at Hacienda is unique and custom to the client. She strives to create the best experience possible for all guests each time they step onto the property.
Ariana brings to the Hacienda team a background in Hospitality and Tourism and has completed her Wedding Consultant and Coordinator Certificate from the Wedding Planners Institute of Canada. She has an abundance of knowledge and experience in customer service. Ariana joined the team as a co-op student, over the years she has had many roles within Hacienda such as; event staff, decor specialist, and event coordinator. She is no stranger to going the extra mile!
What excites her the most is having the ability to bring clients’ dreams to reality. Ariana is a lover of all things beautiful and uses her background to help clients create unforgettable events! Her greatest goal is ensuring that the day is truly special and memorable to the client, no detail is too small. She has plenty of tips and recommendations to share, just ask!
Robyn is an Event Planner at Hacienda Sarria. She is known for her positive attitude and ability to connect with just about anyone! Using these qualities to provide first-rate service and an exemplary guest experience comes naturally to Robyn; she always exhibits a client-focused attitude and enjoys going the extra mile to ensure an unforgettable event.
With a Bachelor’s Degree from Wilfrid Laurier University and a Public Relations Diploma from Algonquin College under her belt; Robyn is always ready for a challenge and excels at problem solving. She loves to help clients articulate their vision for an event and turn their dreams into a reality.
The library nook in Hacienda Sarria’s Lounge is Robyn’s favourite space. This small, intimate corner is a quaint place to relax and have a quiet moment to sip a cup of Hacienda Coffee. You might find her here daydreaming about her upcoming travel plans and real estate endeavors. Outside of the office, you will likely find Robyn spending quality time with her nephew; out for brunch with friends; or taking in live music at a local pub or concert hall.
As Hacienda’s Culinary Manager, Cindy is known for her professional, and thoughtful approach to providing exceptional customer service. Her ability to make our guests feel welcome at each and every event ensures an unforgettable experience. Her gift for leading and motivating a team has been honed through nearly three decades of running a successful business; she has extensive experience in management; instructing and coaching; as well as community involvement. Cindy has personally collected a number of awards for her achievements in entrepreneurship, women in business, sport, and fitness. Rest assured that your event will run smoothly when Cindy is on the floor!
Cindy is always looking for ways to inspire, instruct, and motivate all generations in regards to living a better lifestyle through sport, diet and a positive attitude. Through her “5 F’s of a Happy Life” motto, she strives to incorporate freedom, fitness, food, friends, and family in her day-to-day life. When not at work, you can find Cindy at a fitness studio, outside enjoying nature, or in the kitchen creating a delicious meal for the people she cares about.
Cindy encourages everyone to experience our beautiful Hacienda Market Garden. Before every event, she arrives early to stroll down the pathways and appreciate our ever-changing backdrop of fruits, vegetables, and flowers.
