Many people have a bucket list and our event planner Ashley is no exception.
Always dreaming of a trip to Europe, something about the elegance and romantic style spoke to her.
That’s why, when she found Hacienda Sarria, she could easily connect with the space and begin envisioning her many ideas.
The champagne and rose table clothes accentuate the florals in a soft, elegant way
Work with the venue to reflect your personal style.
“Every bride has certain must-haves in her mind when she goes to see a venue possibility. And if you’re like me, you already have some very specific ideas about how your day will look!”
Even if you’re not sure about the details, choosing your venue really helps to guide your other style decisions.
“One of the main things that drew me to Hacienda Sarria was the rustic style. I thought its masculinity would offset the elegant décor I was planning so it wouldn’t be too feminine. That way it would be better for representing both me and Mike.”
A candlelit aisle sets the tone for an intimate, meaningful ceremony
Always have a trusted second opinion on hand.
Making sure you both have a say in choosing the venue is a great start to a wedding that will best represent your relationship and your style. Having a second person also gives you a second opinion to instil confidence in your decisions. Event planners are there to help too.
“It helps to talk to the staff. Their confidence rubs off on you and you feel like you have someone experienced on your side who knows what to do.”
With the whole space to yourself, your guests can relax during cocktails in the lounge while you have your photographs taken or prepare for the reception
Consider the importance of a Private Venue.
Private venues tend to have Event Planners on staff, so you know they are well seasoned in the art of planning. Having a venue exclusively for the day means you can choose to use the entire space if you wish, and that’s just what Ashley is planning to do. The privacy is excellent for creating an intimate atmosphere for your guests- no sharing the space with another couple or celebration.
“I wanted the ceremony, dinner, and reception all done in one location- it just seemed easier for my guests that way. Hacienda’s great for that because of all the different spaces you can use. For my own day, I’m thinking I will have my ceremony in the Ballroom, cocktails in the Lounge, then dinner and dancing in the Courtyard.”
Drapery, chandeliers, and little décor details can transform your day into a truly unique experience
Hopefully these three tips help you get started in your search for your perfect venue.
Whatever space you finally select needs to do more than simply provide a backdrop for your wedding- it should help you to tell your story.
